Independence Day was teh fun. I played frisbee AND soccer and was all-around v. sporty.
We watched the fireworks from the penthouse, which was exciting. So pretty. ^^ And we played the game where everyone has something written on their forehead and no one knows what their own says. Mine was "Johnny Depp," so I figured it out rather easily. I mean, after I asked "Is he hot?" there was pretty much no doubt. ;)
Talking of, we're watching Pirates of the Caribbean on Friday! There's a girl here who saw it nine times in theatre and has a Johnny Depp pen. She's adorable.
And while we're on the subject of adorable things, when we visited an art store before seeing Spider-Man 2 there was this really sweet bag that said "Je suis une Rockstar" on it and I wanted it v. much. But it wasn't worth whatever the price was [can't remember x.x], so I sadly refrained.
So the second week of WTP has found me slightly apathetic about classes. But I totally r0x0red EE [dubbly] today, so that made me happy. They pretend the homework is optional, but then you feel guilty when you go to dancing lessons instead of working on math problems. However, I think tonight's homework should be fairly easy, since the math is mathematical induction, which we covered in intro to calc this year, and the EE homework is translating binary, which is just plain simple.
"Dancing lessons?" I'm sure you're exclaiming, as it's the only slightly interesting phrase in the above paragraph. Oh, yes, friends. 7:30 to 8:30 was tango, which completely sucked because it was slow and confusing and I can't dance. But then 8:30 to 9:30 was the international cha cha and firstly, the instructor was exponentially hotter than the first one, and secondly, it was really easy, and thirdly, it was fun. I can totally do a kickass cha cha now, guys.
Tonight we're invited to RSI College Night, so I'm hoping there will be some cute RSI boys. Sadly, I know in my heart that they are all geeky scientist-types. They should be nicer than the boys we sat with at dinner last night, though. They were just a little creepy. Namely the talking about us in Spanish while we were sitting right next to them and asking us for our room numbers, et cetera. I don't speak Spanish, but I did catch the phrase "mas chicas" and I'm not entirely stupid.
But I'm having a splendoriffic time, so don't you worry about me. Sunshine and kisses! <3
Almeda | 07.07.04 17:03 | TrackBackHm. Johnny Depp is tres hot! (I would say trop but that seems to have somewhat of a negative connotation to it.) To quote the French exchange students of yesteryear, "Ca va!"
If I had been at that dinner with you, I could have translated for you! That is to say, unless they were speaking rather rapidly, and using archaic words with which I am not familiar. ... But other than that!
Hmm. Please try to refrain from running your chainsaw at night. Especially at 1.23 in the AM.
