vegan in furs
one time i went to the mfa with jessica alison & kyrgyzstan, and after tripping up the stairs with my mustard-covered soft pretzel and looking at a bunch of fine art, we took the T home.
and i was bundled up in the coat my mommy bought me because she didn't want me to be cold in cambridge in the winter so she made sure i picked out a coat that covered my ass.
and there's faux fur on the hood. so.
lady gets on the T.
me: *smile*
her: *put all her bags down on the seat across from us*
me: *innocently riding the T*
her: *looks over* is that real fur?
me: *petrified* um, no.
her: have you heard of sir paul mccartney?
me: um, yes.
her: in china they kill cats and dogs for their fur. *pulls paper out of folder*
me: *politely reads*
so that was pretty much the most awkward thing that happened to me today.
we went to see the old law last night. a bexley kid composed some of the music for it, and it was pretty sweet stuff. and i fell in love with a flamboyant lithuanian actor.
So Sir McCartney was okay with all the other things that go down in China? In fact all the things that go down in America should prevent him from coming here too. I guess he'll have to sit on an island in the middle of the ocean.
Which is not to say that I don't think the whole skinning cats and dogs thing is deeply disturbing.
I think China should get punished by its mother. It has been very irresponsible lately, and it's going to end up in a very bad place if it doesn't start shaping up, mister.
Vegans eat faux turkey... why no faux fur?
Great post title, too. :)
