"I've been mostly reading gay literature recently."

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by an appreciation of people.

Like when I was studying chem at sr haus and Tyler&Jesse's suitemate Sergio was clattering pans and singing under his breath in the other room.

And I listened to the noise he was making, and I was like, wow. I love people.

They can be so pretty and real sometimes.

It's hard to explain it in words.

why i love MIT

tonight on my radio show i plan on having noise percussion - that means you and i and everyone else i can manage to get go down to the station with (weird) buckets, boxes, pots and pans, skateboards, kateboards, kalimbas, phones, and whatever else we get out hands on, and bang the fuck out of it all for two hours in the beautiful wmbr studio.

It was a lot. of fun. Like, seriously, it was exactly how it sounds. A bunch of people experimenting with making noise in a room. For > an hour. I probably wouldn't turn on the radio and listen to it, but participating in it was kickass.

Go team.

[edit: it sounded kind of like this. and if that doesn't satisfy your noise percussion needs, there's an hour more. but i wasn't there for the first half hour, so why would you want to listen to that?]

    The Internet says it's snowing

But I'm fairly sure that when I look out my window, it's not.

Although it's hard to tell because it's night.

So. . . I love my parents. They are fabulously chill. And I didn't even realise.

My siblings are pretty all right too.

And I love my friends. Especially when they hug me.

And I rather adore Aaron Todd.

    Happy thanksgiving?

    Here comes the bride!

    The happy couple. Serious face!

    The wedding party. Beer gut!

    Sexy ladies!

    Fernando

    No boobs!

    Lauren groping.

    the complete set here.

    also: me grabbing my bitch.

If I've said it once, I've said it a gajillion times

I'm sorry to bore you, but it's true. I heart college.

Saw The Foreigner at BU with Brian last evening. His friend was the "central character" and q. hilarious. And I saw Alex Dutton, whom I probably haven't spoken to since the days of elementary school. But I don't know if he saw me and I didn't say hi. 'cause I'm a bitch!

Afterward Brian was like, I'm going to go have a drink with my friends. And I'm like, um, I'm going to go chill with my friends. PEACE.

And after like a gajillion hours on the T, I made it to senior haus. For good times. With good kids.

Also, officially: I have neat feet. And hairless armpits. And I'm very mellow.

    Sergio says so. Hence truth.

This morning. This afternoon, rather, Jim, who is a day older than I am, and I made fun of people all across campus. Mostly the little kids who invaded MIT.

    "Hey, pink-haired lady!"
    "*friendly smile masking kid!hatred*"
    "Where's the memorial building?"

    November 18, 2005

    I love Harry Potter.

    That is all.

    November 17, 2005

I think my penis is too big.

I'm starting to get an unexplicable hole in the crotch of a pair of jeans.

    ...

Sometimes I shave my legs at one in the morning.

    But I'm still a feminist.

Someday I will have a seizure

from the blinking banner ads on xanga.

    But not today.

Today I should be doing three psets. Because I am seeing GoF tomorrow evening and will not have much time to complete the two due Friday.

I rather hate work. And am bad at self-motivation.

my hot friends the hat models

Kiki loves your hat, Melissa. As does Ryan the Hawaiian, because it shows off his new eyebrow piercing.

My one true love. Slash roommate.

So can I get a YEAH YEAH for three day weekend? It's kind of drawing to a close now, but it's been fun while it lasted.

Thursday was pub night at Beta, which is always delightful.

Friday was Charlie from the Internet, brownies, and Hot Hot Heat! And the Redwalls and We Are Scientists, of whom I swear I've never heard before, but I definitely knew one of their songs. And no one on teh bexxxnet has it. Rarr.

Yesterday was sailing with Pablo and Orian. Which was pretty flippin' sweet. They are such adorable kids. And I even helped move the sail by pulling on a rope/letting the rope slack. I'm practically in the navy now.

Orian gave me some delicious lemon tart. Which he found in a dumpster. See, Orian is pretty hardk0re. Once he rode his bicycle from Alaska to Argentina. And he also doesn't pay for food. Because grocery stores throw out a lot of food. So he goes on weekly trips to get free food that grocery stores throw out. And I think it's the most awesome thing evar.

After sailing, we had some suitemate bonding at the Garment District. But it's all very hush-hush.

And there was a huge Zeta menorah party, which we had to go to because of Justen & Mom & pretty much every other kid we know there. But we kind of left early due to the alkyhall sitch and ended up staying at a bexley party, which was much more fun than I think ZP would have been. But don't tell Justen.

We got to go up on the roof, Dugan & I cowrote a hit play, Anjuli threw chocolate at everyone like Santa Claus or the Easter bunny or some as of yet undiscovered chocolate-dispensing holiday figure, and I failed at using lighters. But bexley is full of gentlemen, so.

And now I'm itchin' for a shower. PEACE.

    November 12, 2005

    the Internet is real :O

So I've know this kid online since like the seventh grade. And I met him yesterday. How exciting/weird is that?

    November 10, 2005

Look at this cool picture I drew!

With my tablet. WHICH I USE ALL THE TIME!

    November 9, 2005

    SNAP!

One time I was sitting innocently at my laptop when Justen decided to begin his career as amateur photographer with my digital camera.

Me going for the waif look.

    I'm not even sure.

    Having a seizure, maybe?

    Kicking ass at Scrabble

makes me feel better about being at MIT.

And I still adore Y Tu Mamá También.

Yeah. That's pretty much what I did this evening. It was certainly more fun than starting my chem pset!

No school Friday, ker-ching! And Hot Hot Heat is kind of playing here. For $5. Where I take all my exams.

I'm sort of fond of this college thing.

And I heart when people draw comics about my life. [Life is pronounced with a Texan drawl, pee-ess.]

    November 7, 2005

Kiki slept in my bed on Saturday night.

    While I was in it!

    :O

    The discovery of makeup withdrawal!

I don't even wear that much makeup, right? But I left my makeup bag at my aunt's house in Philly two weeks ago and I only got it back today in the mail. [With a bunch of halloween candy, heart!]

I was tolly barely surviving without it. I had these intense cravings for black eyeliner. And Lauren only has brown eyeliner. I guess because she's an all-natural, girl-next-door type. Or something!

So that was so exciting. Because it's like MY MAKEUP BAG! *CLUTCH* FINALLY! and also a package! someone loves me! and candy! now i can get my roommate fat after eating all the candy her parents sent her!

Is it obvious that I'm procrastinating?

    November 5, 2005

    Something I would not recommend:

Playing "never have i ever" with a mix of people who know all your secrets and people you've never met before. You might just earn the unjustified title "team slutty."

    Gosh!

I bought a killer dress at the Garment District yesterday for the TDC banquet tonight. TDC = Brian's frat. Brian = my suitemate, in case you've forgotten. We went out for lunch the other day and he was like um I guess do you want to go to the banquet? And I was like ehh I guess maybe sure.

I also decided I should wear more blue because I tried on this cute light blue dress and it was fab with the hair. And talking of my hair, everyone is like wah wah wah when are you going to redye it? Because they can't handle my roots. So I'm thinking I'm going to try to survive until Thanksgiving, and hopefully my mama will do it then. Because she loves me that much.

    <3

PS: jumping rope is so much fun! I completely forgot about it.

    November 3, 2005

    pwned my chem test!

well, where pwnage = did +10 points above average and way way more points above my last chem test.

    which i think counts. muah!

    November 1, 2005

    November!

Hey, remember the time I dragged Lauren outside to celebrate the first snowfall?

And the time there was a papparazzo perched in a tree who took our photograph to go in the school newspaper?

Yeah, I didn't remember that second part until today when someone told me I was famous.

Some advice: never do ridiculous things because people might secretly take your picture. And publish it in the newspaper. With a stupid caption.
